INTRODUCING TRIFORCE.

Thanks to a unique program created by Sven Pape. we assembled an international team of editors we call triforce.

  • Erwann Korroc'h

Not For Nothing always was an unusual project; one that needed an unusual team of editors.

In order to find its members, the directors Tim Dowlin and Frankie Tartaglia turned to Sven Pape - a film editor and YouTuber (“This Guy Edits” around 500k subscribers) who created “The Go-To Editor”, an online course to help aspiring editors break into movies. He pitched the directors a contest to find for them the ideal editor among his very best students...

  • John Grenham

In the end, John, Jarivan and Erwann won the big prize: they were hired to cut “Not For Nothing” together – but remotely, each of them living in a different country: namely the USA, Denmark and France. As for their experience, John was already working as an assistant editor on a Netflix movie, Jarivan had already cut a documentary, and Erwann had several short movies under his belt.

Despite the distance, they quickly befriended each other and found ways to make that international professional relationship work for them, and for the movie !

  • Jarivan Ahmad

Though the gifted editors helped reshape the movie and expand its storytelling, each also brought some unique set of skills: John helped setup the whole project, often digging in the technical aspect to make sure it’d be smooth sailing ; Jarivan added a more European feel to the overall storytelling, while Erwann kept the team going during hard times.

Overall, the three of them brought an undeniable value to “Not For Nothing”, so you might want to keep an eye out for these guys, because their names will soon be associated with other great movies !
